It had been a rough road for me taking this course. Was the subject hard? Nope. Was it challenging? Yes. Definitely. It challenged me on how I will be able to manage my time efficiently and organize everything considering I am working full-time and had lots of things that had gone through these days.
But the question is where am I going to after this? Will I be more effective in my profession?
As I thought I am being a good teacher, I was wrong. I still have a lot to ponder on and rethink when it comes to my strategies and methodologies. It is not enough that a person is passionate in this kind of job. As a teacher, one should be equipped with the principles and ideals to be able to effectively implement his or her craft. It is a cycle. It will never end.
I am currently standing at the middle of a crossroad, still undecided which path I will be taking. Will I pursue my nursing career? Will I end up being a dance choreographer? Will I just start a business? OR will I continue teaching and inspiring young learners?
It really makes me happy me to educate and teach knowing that my kids are learning and being motivated to learn. Teaching in an international school in a foreign country is a great opportunity for me. IT FEELS LIKE I AM TEACHING THE WORLD. And so the responsibility is heavy. It is not an easy task.
To end this term, I would like to share to everyone, some of my techniques and methodologies utilized in the classroom in this short video clip. I am really an educator who has a heart for innovation. That’s me…and that’s how I want my students to remember me – MITCHELLIUM.
