EdTech Apps for 21st Century Educators

Integrating technology in education provides tremendous potential to empower students’ learning. Through the different devices, hardware and software manufactured and the birth of knowledge-based economy, education has been evolving by utilizing technology as part of the teaching and learning process.

Educators from K-12, Higher Ed, and even post-graduate institutions have been gearing up their skills and competencies in teaching through technology integration in the classroom.

For this school year, I compiled the best apps I use in my classroom and by educators all over the world to promote “GENUINE LEARNING” through 21st Century teaching.

1. Reflector App

Airsquirrels developed an app for every device in every classroom. Reflector is a wireless receiver for mirroring and streaming phones or tablets that help educators go around the classroom while teaching and presenting. No need to worry about wires, adapters, and connectors for different gadgets you have in your classroom. Seesaw is a student-driven learning journal that empowers children to share their learning with each other, their teachers, parents and the world. It is a pretty open tool that reflects students’ learning with a wider audience. It has no cost (free forever) and is suitable for students of all ages. It has various tools that give students choice in the way that works best for them. On top of that, it creates a meaningful home-school connection so families can better support their child’s learning.

3. Quizlet
